The home stretch....

Today I had my 32 week doctor visit. Everything is going well with all three babies and mommy. This week was just a general check-up; no weights of the babies were given this time around.

However, we did schedule a c-section date for December 3rd. Almost appropriate since there are three little monkeys in there. Now all I have to do is make it three more weeks. But, if I keep resting it should not be a problem.

It is amazing how scheduling the date makes it all the more real. You would think that big belly alone would be enough, but sometimes the little things make the biggest impact.

Now that we feel we're in the home stretch, all of us (family, friends, Dave and I) are busier than ever getting last-minute details completed around the house. As you can imagine, I have a list of things that in my mind need to get done. For everyone else, it is a "sure, when we get to it" list. As us moms start nesting everything seems so important.

All in all though, this is just so fun - getting down to the wire. We can't wait for our little ones to arrive. Even though Alexander and Nathan do not quite understand it all yet, I know they will be excited when the girls arrive too.

  1. Hi Elaine,

Tom and I read about you in the Naperville Sun. He especially liked your quote about not getting any sleep--ever.

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I'll be bringing some food :-)
